VSB prepares students to serve as ethical
leaders within a competitive global business
environment. We achieve this by immersing
students in rigorous, relevant and innovative
educational programs that connect theory to
the current practice of management.”

Business leaders shape the world, and the Villanova
School of Business (VSB) shapes business leaders. With
a top-ranked, real-world business education grounded in
four areas of pedagogical focus—innovation, technology,
ethics and a global mindset—and a foundation in the
liberal arts and sciences, VSB prepares its graduates to
succeed. Alumni lead a variety of organizations in diverse
industries and are widely viewed as ethical team players
and community members.
Innovation is the hallmark of VSB. During the 2007–2008
academic year, VSB undertook a comprehensive redesign
of its undergraduate business curriculum. This innovative
and rigorous curricula is highly integrated: infused with
team teaching, simulations, global perspectives, guest
speakers and hands-on projects.
Rigorous and relevant to the practice of global business,
a VSB education builds leaders by imparting technical
business knowledge and a sense of personal responsibility,
corporate citizenship and a global perspective. Students
are encouraged to view themselves and their work within
the context of making positive contributions to the world.
VSB is committed to providing its students with an
exposure to and appreciation of diverse cultural experiences.
More than 50 percent of VSB students travel abroad to
engage in international learning and service opportunities.
Whether it’s the chance to manage real world investment
funds, take an honors course in global corporate responsibility
or work as an intern on Wall Street, students are afforded
myriad opportunities to refine key skills and execute
business theory.
VSB faculty members —90 percent of whom hold the
highest degree in their field—bring real-world experience
into the classroom. Their ongoing research provides
educational and experiential opportunities for graduate
and undergraduate students alike within VSB’s Centers
of Excellence. These centers include the Center for
Marketing and Public Policy Research, the Center for
Global Leadership, the Daniel M. DiLella Center for Real
Estate, the Center for the Study of Church Management,
the Center for Entrepreneurship and the Institute for
Research in Advanced Financial Technology.
Augustinian values, extraordinary academic quality and
unparalleled professional development services set VSB
apart and provide its graduates with a solid foundation
for lifelong success.
