Ameer Jones ’ 10
College of Engineering
President of the Villanova chapter of
the National Society of Black Engineers,
Ameer is majoring in Mechanical
Engineering and is pursuing a minor in
business. In his downtime he plays for
the Villanova club basketball team.
A native of Philadelphia, Ameer is the
first student to matriculate at Villanova
through the Villanova Engineering,
Science, Technology, Enrichment and
Development (vested) outreach
program for Philadelphia middle and
high school students. “Seeing those
professors give up their Saturdays to
come in and teach a bunch of young
kids—that spoke volumes,” he recalls.
Kelly Ryan ’ 10

Upon arriving at Villanova as a freshman

study abroad as a nursing student.”
She recently completed an internship

nurses’ associations representing
millions of nurses worldwide. She also

sorority, Kelly says, “The best part of
being a student at Villanova is all the
opportunities presented to you.”
